Connects students to subject matter expert staff for assistance as needed. Identifies possible financial aid and funding resources for educational expenses such as tuition, books, toolkits, etc. Navigators also ensure students are aware of available resources on campus that may be available for support such as free tutoring, free bus passes, computer lab access, food and hygiene pantry information, affinity groups, student activities and events, and more. Connects students with various community resources to aid in achieving their reentry, education, and career goals.

Offers both paid and unpaid on-the-job work experience internships for parents making the transition from welfare/TANF dependency to self-sufficiency. Internships provide a supportive work environment to build job skills, employment references and work history. Includes pre-employment job readiness training, educational support, career navigation assistance and unsubsidized job placement assistance.

Offers a hybrid course that prepares job seekers for entry-level employment in the tech industry as helpdesk technicians or IT technicians with a career plan. Introduces students to core computer functions, how to manage and maintain a laptop and a desktop, and an introduction to the concepts around system and software applications. 7-week hybrid course offered quarterly at Goodwill's Tacoma campus, hybrid course meets 2 days in-person and 2 days online. Provides students additional lab time with their local training coordinator, and will offer Employment and Financial Coaching through enrollment in Goodwill's Financial Opportunity Center. In addition to a course completion certificate, successful students will be awarded a scholarship to earn their COMPTIA IT Fundamentals Certificate. Provides a variety of programs to help students prepare for college level courses or the workplace. Offers classes in Yelm, Olympia and Lacey. Adult Basic Education Provides basic classes for English, Math and Computers. These classes do not count as college credit but students are more prepared for college classes and the workforce. Courses offered in person or online. Basic Computer Skills Provides a low-cost, non credit course to help people improve their computer skills. Includes basic computer operations, email, zoom, canvas, Word, PowerPoint, keyboarding and more. English as a Second Language (ESOL) Offers six levels of classes to help non-native speakers of English improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. High School+ Allows students age 18 and older to earn a high school diploma. It is a competency based GED alternative and meets the requirements for a high school diploma for employment, financial aid applications, and admission to a community or technical college. Traditional GED prep classes and testing are also available. I-Best Allows students to increase literacy and work skills. Two instructors are in the classroom, toe to teach the professional/technical skills, and the other instructor teaches reading, writing, math or English language.

Provides 8-12 weeks of paid on-the-job training for entry-level jobs in manufacturing. Students rotate through stations on an active shop floor with the support of mentors. Participants will have access to support services, coaches and mentors who will assist with resumes, cover letters, interviewing and applications. Those with some experience and manufacturing background may enroll for direct to job search support and wraparound services without the training element.

Washington State DSHS Approved Clock Hour Provider offering online training courses designed for those new to working with adults how have had a brain injury or wanting refresher courses.

Provides training and then employment for those who wish to become a school bus drivers (CDL class B). Offers paid internships, Sub Driver, and sub laborers, and potentially full, union employment. Drivers work with disabled and low-income individuals that need transportation to and from work. Also provides school bus transportation, children are 3-5-year-olds that includes young early learning and head start children. Usually, small groups of children at the same time. Training for 8 weeks, then asked to get a CDL permit. Things to be aware of: - Are you willing to work with individuals with disabilities? - All applicants must have reliable transportation PSESD base is in Auburn - It is within an educational district, so you only get paid once a month - After 6 weeks the 1st check pays off on the 15th of every month - Fingerprints and drug tests are continuous and random, including checking for marijuana Internship 8 weeks of training to become a school bus drivers CDL class B Sub Driver - up to 60 hours per month. Sub Laborer - can work more than 60 hours per month. - after training and improvement, workers could be asked to join the union and go under contract (after proving dependability and knowledge). Memorization is key - If unable to memorize the 16 pages of training word for word, if this will be an issue, please do not apply. Motivation is key - Motivated individuals can complete training, get licensed, and start driving for PSESD - Puget Sound Educational Service district in as little as two months but it all depends on the individual's motivation to study for the test.

Provides 70 hours of basic training to prepare individuals to become Home Care Aide Certified and work for KWA. Once training has been successfully completed the employee will be eligible to test for HCA certification through Department of Health.

Partners with Swedish Medical Center, Seattle Children's Hospital and Kaiser Permanente to provide one month of job training in the medical field. Participants will have the opportunity to interview with each of the three partner companies upon completion of the training. Program includes training for a variety of entry-level medical field jobs, including the following: - Nutrition (preparing food in hospitals, monitoring patients dietary needs, etc. ) - Materials (sterilization of medical equipment) - Environmental services (cleaning) - Customer service Also offers support services, such as help with transportation and obtaining work-appropriate clothing, as well as providing referrals to Dress for Success and childcare assistance.

TRP is designed to prepare woman for success in the skilled trades. Over 12 weeks, participants gain hands-on experience in a variety of construction skills, earn industry-recognized certifications, and connect directly with apprenticeship programs and employers. With ongoing support and career placement services, TRP gives women the tools and confidence to launch into high-demand, living-wage careers in construction.

Offers workforce training programs in the following areas of focus: - Aerospace & Aviation, - Automotive & Trades, - Advanced Manufacturing, - Business & Personal Services, - Health & Human Development, - Nursing, - Science, - Technology, - Engineering and Design, - High School completion, - Pre-college and transitional studies, - professional development and continuing education. Programs range from short-term certificates to bachelor's degrees. Many programs are financial aid eligible and other workforce and scholarship options may be available. The main campus in Lakewood also offers a range of supports and services for current students such as bus passes, food pantry, tutoring, computer labs, events and activities, etc. Students must be enrolled and attending to access services.

Offers 4 and 7 hour HIV/AIDS classes that meet the Washington State requirements for licensing and/or certification of professionals.

Offers a customized Home Care Aide certification and job skills training program that prepares students for Home Care Aide employment. Ten-week 75-hour certification and training program offers up to 36 hours per week of in-class instruction, in person skills classes and homework. Additional classes: mental health, dementia, Advanced skill building, digital literacy, job readiness, CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers permit. Upon successful completion, the ReWA HCA Certified instructor signs off on certification. Students receive certificates for all of the above classes that prepare them to complete the state exam and find employment. Participants may also receive assistance with any barrier removal to completing class, passing the state exam, job interviews and job placement follow up as well as career counseling and job advancement strategies.
