Support Services offered at HERO House NW in Bellevue
Offers pre-employment and employment day programs for adults on the Eastside living with mental illness. Members work with staff to develop work skills, self-confidence and strengths. Also provides an extensive social program.
Offers support services for adults living with mental illness. Offers pre-employment day program where members work side-by-side with staff to develop work skills, self-confidence, strengths and talents. Technology and equipment is available for members to learn and work on. Provides a commercial kitchen where members prepare meals available to members and staff for a small fee.
Members can also apply for employment in the community through the programs of HERO House NW. There are three different programs of employment including:
-Transitional Employment Program (part-time, time-limited for members just entering or returning to paid employment; includes on-site support, training and coverage)
-Supported Employment Program (time unlimited, paid positions in the community with on-site supports and training provided by HERO House NW.
-Independent Employment Program (where members work in competitive positions independently of HERO House NW) and HERO House NW employment supports.
HERO House NW Programs also provides an extensive social program where members join together for picnics, bingo, museum tours, festivals, sports and games.
