The service does not include a centralized triage function within the community or a formal relationship with the courts.   Alcohol & Drug Information School State-approved instruction fulfills legal requirements for individuals court-referred to attend an Alcohol Drug Information School (ADIS). The educational, 8-hour course provides students with valuable information about alcohol and other drugs. The course is designed to enhance responsible decision-making with regards to alcohol and other drug use. Students are encouraged to explore the effects of alcohol and other drug use on themselves, their families and their world.   DUI Evaluations Provides a court-ordered assessment of individuals who have been convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol to evaluate the severity of their problem and make a recommendation to the court regarding appropriate treatment.   Outpatient Treatment Provides outpatient substance use disorder services that usually requires fewer than nine hours per week of attendance, which may include individual and group counseling, 12-step meetings, social and recreational activities, educational and vocational services, life skills training, primary health care, perinatal health care, a program for family members, relapse prevention services, a continuing care program and supportive services (such as child care, transportation and parenting skills development). Length of service can be anywhere between six months to two years depending on the needs of the individual and/or court order.   Intensive Outpatient Treatment   Provides outpatient substance use disorder services that usually requires 9-20 hours per week of attendance, which may include individual and group counseling, 12-step meetings, social and recreational activities, educational and vocational services, life skills training, primary health care, perinatal health care, a program for family members, relapse prevention services, a continuing care program and supportive services (such as child care, transportation and parenting skills development).   Counseling Provides counseling and mental health services to Apple Health (Medicaid) patients. Agency provides state-certified service(s).

Provides integrated behavioral health care to adults, children and families with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Creates customized treatment plans that may include mental health and substance abuse assessment and treatment, medications, and supports such as: - Individual, couple, family, or group counseling sessions - Trauma-related services - Medication monitoring and management - Nursing services - Peer support - Crisis support - Employment support

DUI Evaluations Provides a court-ordered assessment of individuals who have been charged with driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol to evaluate the severity of their problem and make a recommendation to the court regarding appropriate intervention services. Using various tests, screens, and questionnaires the counselor gathers data revealing the extent of the client's involvement with alcohol and other drugs. The client’s point of view of his/her substance use, and other verifiable, or objective data (e.g., BAL at time of arrest, driving abstract, etc.) are needed to make the diagnosis. Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) laws mandate that all persons convicted of DUI/PC shall complete a Substance Use Assessment at a DOH Behavioral Health approved facility. MERIT is a WA State approved facility for DOL Assessment, ADIS, Treatment, and Completion Reporting.

Provides substance use disorder services for teens and adults, including DUI assessments and outpatient treatment. Provides individual, group, and family counseling as part of treatment. Coordinates adolescent-only groups and adult co-occurring disorders groups. Additionally offers co-occurring intensive inpatient/outpatient and weekly aftercare. Offers morning, day, and evening programs as well as on-site drug testing. Also offers relapse prevention groups and interventions.

Offers Domestic Violence and Anger Management Assessments.  The process involves a testing component and clinical interview to determine the level of treatment, education, or recommendation appropriate for the individual. This entire process can usually be completed between one and two hours and is available Monday through Friday.  The above process usually results in one of the following three outcomes or recommendations: 1. No treatment necessary 2. A diagnosed need for education 3. A diagnosed need for treatment

Provides substance use disorder treatment for youth and adults, including DUI assessments, outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment, withdrawal management, and relapse prevention. Intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment services include 3 hour sessions, 4 days a week, for 6 weeks.

Screening and assessment are performed by clinicians, with someone who is trained and experienced in understanding addictions. Staff are trained to use brief interventions to encourage people who have serious dependence issues to accept more intensive treatment at our facility or to accept a referral to a higher level of care at another treatment facility.
