Services are provided for children, ages birth-3 years, who have developmental delays and/ or disabilities and their families. Provides screenings, evaluations, and early intervention services.

Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) is a program that extends and improves access to medical services. Provides access for identification, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of children under the age of 18 with physically handicapping or potentially handicapping conditions. It reduces the financial impact these services have on families who lack adequate resources for care.   Children with special health care needs may benefit from services such as:   Early identification of health or developmental problems,    Screening and/or assessment of the child and family's concerns, priorities and resources,    Tracking or monitoring,    Therapeutic intervention(s) including family education and support, and resource identification, referral, and coordination.    Home visits and/or telephone consultations with a Community Health Nurse can help provide Care Coordination Services.  And offer education about the following:   Medical problems, the care needs and available resources    Child behavior, growth and development, and Nutrition, basic baby and childcare    Parenting issues    Immunization information    Safety issues    Stress reduction    Taking care of yourself to prevent illness    Assist with problem solving and decision making

Provides early intervention services to babies and toddlers living with developmental delays.   Services include   -  Physical therapy -  Occupational therapy -  Speech/language therapy -  Oral motor/feeding therapy -  Special education -  Family support -  Education Services are on-site or in the community and include home or day care visits.

Home-based therapy program provides early intervention services (Speech, Occupational, Physical, Oral motor therapies, early education, and Family Resource Coordination) for families and children ages birth to three, with a developmental delay or a diagnosed disability including: -  Down syndrome -  Cerebral palsy -  Autism spectrum disorders   Services are provided in a child's natural environment, a place the child normally is during the day including home, daycare, a relative's home, or a community setting.    Information is shared with the family about child development and strategies are provided to help families feel supported as their child's primary teacher.

Provides early support services such as speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, special education, family resource coordination, and nutrition consultation within the child's natural environment.

Provides various services for children, such as car seat safety checks and car seat discounted fees, Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD Dental), and Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN). - ABCD provides access to dental care throughout Benton Franklin Counties for children who have WA Apple Health (Medicaid). Provides assistance in finding a dentist that will fit location, timing and language preferences and assists in coordinating transportation and interpreter services. - CSHCN provides care coordination for children with complex health needs, assists families to coordinate care with medical providers, to access local resources for their child, and to understand cope with the child's health condition. - Car seat safety check are also provided at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, 2nd Wednesday of every month. Provides various programs for children to receive individualized educational services in small class settings, focusing on communication, motor skills, cognition, self-help, and social skills. Offers evaluations to determine if a child is meeting developmental milestones.

Early Intensive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Treatment Clinic for young children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Clinic sessions are presently offered M-Th, three hours per day and over the course of 48 treatment days per child. Research and evidence-based treatment is specifically developed, coordinated and supervised by a DOH licensed behavior analyst.

The Children’s Therapy Program is a clinically based family focused program providing one-on-one and small group physical, occupational and speech-language therapy to children with special needs. Provides therapy and support to families of children with autism, apraxia, expressive and/or receptive language delays, cerebral palsy, sensory integration concerns, phonological processing delays, developmental delays, Down Syndrome, and other neurodevelopmental pediatric diagnoses.

Provides a safety net for children involved in the child welfare system by ensuring their developmental and social-emotional needs are identified and addressed. It also strengthens relationships so that parents and caregivers can better work together for their child’s success. By supporting a child’s entire care team, CHERISH positively transforms a child’s developmental trajectory, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Joya provides comprehensive developmental evaluation as well as feeding therapy and nutrition services for children from birth to age three who are not meeting age-appropriate developmental milestones or are at risk of developmental delay for any reason.

Families work one-on-one with a Parent Coach, in the child's natural learning environment, identifying learning opportunities in daily family routines such as bath time, mealtime, or during play. Early intervention provides a collection of services families may need for their infants or toddlers with disabilities. Services may include helping the family find needed services for their child, helping the family understand their child’s developmental growth, and helping the family support their child’s learning and development and successful participation in home and community activities.

Provides linkage to services for persons with developmental disabilities residing in Lewis County.

Information and referral regarding disabilities and community resources, newsletter, workshops, seminars and recreational/social events for families. Information provided to parents/guardians of children with a disability or chronic medical condition. Puts parents in touch with special services available to eligible children age birth to three in Thurston, Mason and Grays Harbor counties.

Provides early intervention services for children birth to 35 months of age with either 1) a developmental delay, or 2) a diagnosis that is likely to result in a developmental delay. Services are provided in: College Place, Columbia-Burbank, Dayton, Dixie, Kiona-Benton City, Prescott, Prosser, Richland, Starbuck, Touchet, Waitsburg, and Walla Walla. Early intervention team members who support the family may include the following: Family Resource Coordinator (FRC), Birth to Three Teacher, Early Intervention Specialist, Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), Physical Therapist (PT), Autism Specialist, Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI), and/or Teacher of the Deaf (TOD).

Provides evaluations, services and supports to families with babies and young children that have suspected developmental delays and disabilities. Services offered include: - Speech therapy - Occupational therapy - Special education Early intervention also provides coaching and support to parents and caregivers to build upon family strengths and help children reach their full potential.

Provides educational and therapeutic services to Mount Vernon School District’s preschool children with developmental delays. The classroom settings consist of daily routines for the development of academic, communication, fine and gross motor, social and adaptive skill building. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech/language therapy are provided in the classroom as needed.

Supports children and their families with milestones like walking, talking, eating, playing and learning. Offers developmental evaluations with team evaluation, regular re-evaluations and communication with child's physician. Treatment includes year-round special education, physical, occupational therapy and speech therapy provided in natural environments. Individualized service plans address motor, behavioral, social, cognitive, feeding and speech/communication skills in accordance with family concerns and priorities. Family support and social work services are also offered.

Offers early support services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities. These services include physical, speech, and occupational therapies; early childhood education, infant mental health services, and more.

Provides early intervention therapy and education support services for children ages birth to three in their natural environment. Serves children who have serious physical, behavioral, or emotional conditions that require health related services beyond those required generally. The mission is to promote integrated systems of care that assure children with special health care needs have the opportunity to achieve the healthiest life possible and develop to their fullest potential. Promotes access to integrated, family centered, culturally competent and community based programs and services.

Headstart preschool which serves 48 low-income children; runs May through November. An ECEAP preschool which serves low income children; runs October through May.
