The Caregiver Support Center offers an opportunity for unpaid caregivers, helping an adult in Kitsap County, to meet with a case manager, check out books from a lending library, and obtain brochures, tip sheets, and resource lists at no cost. Unpaid caregivers may also inquire about scholarship eligibility for caregiver training, education, or workshop opportunities.

Any unpaid caregiver can contact us for free information and guidance. We assist in identifying, understanding, and accessing resources and determining the level of support you need. You may receive a screening that measures your emotional well-being and stress. This can be therapeutic and serves as a guide to appropriate resources.

Caregiver Consultants are available to provide in-home training and support. Consultants include nurses, occupational therapists, nutritionists, and counselors. Offers training for various needs, from Fundamentals of Caregiving to Alzheimer’s Disease training. Respite Care: Provides a break for caregivers who need to be away for anywhere from a few hours to two weeks. Care is provided by qualified professionals, and may be provided in the home, in a nursing facility, in an assisted living facility, or through an adult day service program.

Care Navigators can meet with individuals and caregivers separately to ensure each person receives the tailored support they need. Services include disease education, caregiver training, emotional support, and practical guidance, all provided virtually.
Complements client's existing healthcare team and is appropriate for those just starting to explore questions about memory loss as well as those navigating later-stage or end-of-life dementia care.
