Program offers tenants to pay 30 percent of their adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities, allowing families to live in decent, safe and sanitary housing at a cost not possible in the private marketplace. Applicants undergo an in-depth screening process for eligibility and suitability.

Manages several low-income properties in Aberdeen, Hoquiam and Elma.

Provides housing opportunities and coordination of social services to assist low- and moderate-income households achieve economic self-sufficiency. Offers two rental assistance programs through the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Department: Public Housing and the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher, which provides rental assistance in units throughout the community. Provides rental subsidy housing for eligible low-income households in Asotin County. Has also implemented a local preference for the 5 surrounding counties.

Provides conventional low-income public housing throughout the city of Seattle. Housing is offered in designated high-rises, townhouses and garden communities, all owned by the Seattle Housing Authority and subsidized by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).   Long waiting lists exist for all programs; does not offer emergency housing.

Administers 625 Housing Choice Vouchers. These vouchers are used to subsidize program participants’ lease payments for privately owned apartments and houses located within the Housing Authority’s service area. Agricultural workers can also submit applications for the USDA subsidized apartments and Low Income Housing Tax Credit projects. Owns and/or manages Burlington Terrace Apartments and Raspberry Ridge I & II Apartments in Burlington, and La Paloma Apartments, Mount Baker Meadows and President Apartments in Mount Vernon.

Operates and manages public housing in Ferry County. Oversees low-income housing for seniors, special needs, and low-income families.

Provides several programs in Thurston County designed to help low income households obtain and keep affordable housing. Rental Assistance Division: - Administers Housing Choice Vouchers in addition to several other smaller rental assistance programs. To compliment the Voucher program, a Family Self-Sufficiency Coordinator helps heads of households to work toward independence from public benefits. Housing Services Division: - Providing homeless shelter, housing and services, aimed at self-sufficiency. Referrals to this service come from the Coordinated Entry System. Other services or information about other subsidized housing resources in Thurston and Mason Counties.

Housing located (scattered) in Yakima, it is a subsidized project by section 8 (PBV). It is a layered program, which means it is also Tax Credit and must income qualify to the applicable AMI's.

Owns and operates housing communities, including New Salishan, and other family communities, plus 7 apartment buildings for seniors and persons with disabilities. Households must be within the income limits at the time of the application and at move-in. Households must also meet the guidelines for credit, rental and criminal history, and all applicants must verify their citizenship or immigration status.

Offers a variety of affordable housing options throughout Walla Walla County for families, disabled, and elderly who are low income.   -  Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher: federally funded program which provides tenant based rental assistance to eligible families. Eligible families pay approximately 30-40% of their monthly adjusted gross income towards their tenant rent. -  Affordable Housing: rental units for households of very-low to moderate income who might not be able to locate suitable housing in the private rental market. Eligible families are offered a unit according to the necessary bedroom size of the family's composition. -  Tenant Based Rental Assistance: tenant based rental assistance to eligible families. Also assists eligible families with security and utility deposits. The target population is single homeless females and homeless families with children.

Vancouver Housing Authority (VHA) offers the Section 8 program and fields complaints about rental practices and properties. VHA offers two types of vouchers: - Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8): Provides assistance to very-low-income families, older adults, and persons needing special features or accommodations to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private rental market. Voucher holders may choose their own housing in the private rental market including single-family homes, townhouses, and apartments that meet minimum standards of health and safety. - Project-Based Vouchers: Provides assistance for low-income households. The rental subsidy stays with the building/unit, and when a household relocates, the rental assistance ends.

EHA operates a number of properties with subsidized rents. Many properties serve specific populations such as older adults (62+) or people with disabilities. Households pay about 30% of their income toward housing costs. Households must be under current income limits based on percentages of area median income and must qualify for particular unit sizes based on household size. All of these properties have waiting lists, most of which are only opened periodically. EHA will post information about current waiting list openings on its website. Applications are accepted online only.
