Assists seniors who need help with day-to-day chores, transportation, and companionship. Also offers an opportunity for seniors to use their their skills or gain new ones by volunteering doing projects that assist their local communities.

- Volunteer Chore Services: basic in-home assistance for low-income seniors and disabled adults of 18 and older to help continue to live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes. Services may include local transportation for appointments and errands, yard work, light housekeeping and laundry, snow shoveling, minor home repairs, wheelchair ramps, and wood provision.
- Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP): provides a retired and senior volunteer program (RSVP) that is designed for seniors over the age of 55 who want to use their skills or gain new ones by volunteering doing projects that assist children with needed school supplies and toy drives, food collection and delivery, critical services to elderly, and filling the gaps for critical needs in local communities.
- Senior Companion Program: senior companions provide support to isolated elders and persons with disabilities by helping with companionship, grocery shopping, answering mail, and other daily tasks that are essential to maintaining independence. Senior companions may qualify for a small stipend and mileage reimbursement if income eligible, to offset their expenses while they help those most vulnerable.

Provides ADA complementary paratransit service within 3/4 of a mile of Skagit Transit local fixed routes.
Skagit Transit's Paratransit service provides specialized transportation comparable with Skagit Transit's fixed-route bus service. It is a pre-scheduled service designed for people who are unable to get to the nearest bus stop or use a fixed-route bus. Paratransit is for individuals whose conditions and/or disabilities prevent them from using Skagit Transit's regular fixed-route buses. Based on the review of an application for Paratransit service, you may receive curb to curb service, curb to fixed-route service or fixed route service only (with training).

Elder Services offered at Catholic Charities Serving Central WA in Yakima
Provides a range of services for elders, from companionship programs and volunteer services that help with day-to-day chores to relief for overburdened caregivers.
Provides a range of services for elders, from companionship programs and volunteer services that help with day-to-day chores to relief for overburdened caregivers. Catholic Charities provides both help and connection.
Volunteer Services: provides basic in-home assistance to low-income elders and adults with disabilities to help them continue living independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes. Only local rides; no work related transportation. Volunteers can provide services such as: local transportation for appointments and errands (no long distance), yard work, light housekeeping and laundry, snow shoveling, minor home repairs, wheelchair ramps (not an immediate service; if qualifications aren't met, might have to pay material out of pocket), and wood provision.
Senior Companion Program: serves one-on one with the frail elderly and other homebound persons who have difficulty completing everyday tasks. Provides companionship as they assist with grocery shopping, transportation to medical appointments, and other tasks. Volunteers are individuals over 55 years of age with a limited income, they receive a small stipend for an average of 15-20 hours of service per week.
Respite Adult Day Center in Yakima: gives frail or cognitively disabled adults the opportunity to make new friends and participate in a host of enjoyable activities in a safe and comfortable environment. A team of staff and volunteers are present to provide personalized support, encouragement and assistance to each participant. Provides some down-time to those who provide care to disabled individuals. The disabled individuals must have a memory loss situation (such as Alzheimer's, stroke, MS etc.) for the caregiver to be eligible for this program. This program works in conjunction with Aging and Long Term Care but is overseen by Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington.

Provides fare-free door-to-door transportation in Yakima County for residents who are 60 years or older, veterans, persons with disabilities, low-income individuals, and children with special needs to locations outside of city limits. Transportation may be used for medical appointments, necessary grocery shopping, DSHS visits, Social Security office, WorkSource, and other sites, as funding allows. Also provides transportation for individuals who attend school, are seeking employment, or who have employment but no transportation (must live in an area where there is no transit bus service). BFT Connect & General Demand Transportation offered by Ben Franklin Transit
Provides on-demand ride services in six service zones across Benton and Franklin Counties.
BFT Connect provides on-demand ride services in six service zones throughout the Tri-Cities. This is not door-to-door transportation; it is a first and last mile service, which connects riders to major bus stops and transit centers. Depending on your location, pick- up locations may be at the nearest intersection. Rides must start and end in the same zone (please see link for clarification and zone maps). This is a shared ride service, so you may ride with additional people along your route, each traveling to different places.
The six BFT Connect zones are the following:
- West Pasco
- East Pasco
- West Richland & Badger Mountain
- Central Kennewick & Finley
- Columbia Center & South Richland
- Central Richland
Also provides General Demand Service, which consists of pick-up/drop-off transportation at designated stops, within Prosser and Benton City only. Connects riders to the bus line and requires at least one day's notice to reserve a ride.

Demand Response Rides offered at Pierce County Human Services Beyond the Borders
Provides demand rides from the home to the destination or the nearest Pierce Transit bus stop. Click on program name for details. Call Access Pierce to be screened.
Demand response rides are for trips that cannot be completed on one of the two Connector deviated fixed routes in Sumner/Bonney Lake or Spanaway/South Hill.
Trip purpose: work, dialysis or lifeline/essential trips the destination or the nearest Pierce Transit or Sound Transit bus stop.
*The only dialysis center inside the Beyond the Borders service area is the Graham Dialysis Center.
Request to other dialysis centers, such as DaVita South Hill Dialysis Center, Fresenius South Hill Dialysis Center, and DaVita Parkland Dialysis Center may qualify for boundary overlap for SHUTTLE qualified riders on a case by case basis.
Trips for dialysis are NOT immediate. There is currently a wait list for dialysis rides.*
Lifeline/Essential trips are limited to 6 round trips per month.
Services could include but are not limited to:
- food banks,
- clothing banks,
- family support centers,
- social service appointments (WIC, DSHS, PCCC),
- court or legal appointments,
- school counselor appointments, and
- shelters.
*If the caller was denied services from Paratransit, BTB may take the request under consideration.
Service to Eatonville will be limited to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
In partnership with Pierce Transit, Beyond the Borders will share some boundary overlap with SHUTTLE services.
This means that someone who qualifies for SHUTTLE and their ride originates in Beyond the Borders service area and ends in SHUTTLE service area then they are eligible for door-to-door services on Beyond the Borders vehicles.
With Beyond the Border Boundary Overlap the rider stays on the BTB bus and is taken to their final destination.
Riders who are outside the SHUTTLE area think they do not qualify for SHUTTLE but THEY can be qualified, they just cannot be picked up at their home address.
Boundary Overlap is for people with SHUTTLE eligibility who live in the BTB service area and are traveling no more than 5-7 miles into the SHUTTLE service area.
Those who are disabled are also encouraged to apply for Pierce Transit's SHUTTLE for the Disabled.

Dial-A-Ride offered by Ben Franklin Transit
Provides specialized door-to-door transportation for individuals whose disabilities limit their capacity to use the bus system. It is a pre-scheduled service with specific Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) eligibility requirements and a formal application.
Provides curb -to-curb transportation service for people with qualifying disabilities. Vehicles are lift equipped to accommodate individuals using wheelchairs or other mobility devices.
Certain weight and size limitations exist and an individual applying for service should call the Ben Franklin Transit office (509-735-0160, then press 3) to discuss the specific type of mobility devices they would like to use while traveling. Drivers may provide door-to-door service for those individuals who require assistance to/from the vehicle. An individual designated as a Personal Care Attendant may accompany the customer at no cost.

Seniors aged 55 and older, who are active and still driving, are matched with older seniors who no longer drive and need assistance with doctor's visits, shopping, and/or simply companionship. It is not home health nor housekeeping. The program enables older seniors living alone to stay in their homes longer, reduces loneliness, and fosters long-lasting friendships. Supportive Services offered by Catholic Community Services' Volunteer Services
Volunteers provide light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, yard work and transportation to low-income seniors and people with disabilities. Request 7-10 days in advance for transportation; other services may take longer; provided based on volunteer availability.
Helps low-income elders and adults with chronic illnesses or disabilities remain independent in their homes.
Matches volunteers to provide companionship, light housework, and other simple chores.
Assists with everyday household chores such as vacuuming, laundry, grocery shopping and yard work.
Drives and carpools seniors and adults with disabilities to doctor’s appointments, the grocery store, the pharmacy, and other important locations.
Drivers are able to wait until appointment is over for return trip.
Phone Buddies provide older adults with support through a weekly phone call.
Services are provided based on volunteer availability and calls are returned in the order in which they are received.
All volunteers are carefully screened with three references and a Washington State Patrol background check.
Due to the high number of requests and limited number of volunteers, may be unable to offer services to all callers.

Provides free transportation through volunteers to adults 60 and older, for errands such as grocery shopping and medical appointments.
Volunteers drive seniors to essential destinations for:

- To prevent social isolation
As volunteers are available, destinations may also include:
- Beauty or barber shop
- Recreation or socialization beyond what is necessary to prevent social isolation
- Errands such as post-office, bank, attorney, veterinarian, gym.
If necessary, volunteers provide door-through-the-door service and may also provide escort service for errands/shopping as needed (to help those with visual impairments navigate through the supermarket, for example). Transportation to appointments outside the greater Issaquah/Sammamish may be limited.
