Offers access to immediate help and safety for youth ages 12-17 in crisis. A youth may call the hotline or visit a facility displaying the Safe Place sign to request help, such as reconnecting with a parent/guardian or finding shelter.
Provides on call, in person and over the phone support to vulnerable youth. Works closely with existing emergency youth shelter providers including Friends of Youth, YouthCare and Cocoon House.

The primary goal of this service is to assist eligible clients to covered Medicaid services with vouchers for gasoline or mileage reimbursement if they have their own vehicle. For clients that live near a bus stop, tickets/tokens or passes may be available. If that is not possible, transportation is arranged using contracted providers including volunteer drivers, nonprofit providers, cabulances, and taxi companies. Transportation must be scheduled in advance; local trips require two working days' notice, for long distance trips, five working days' notice is requested. Counties served are: Benton, Chelan, Columbia, Douglas, Franklin, Kittitas, Okanogan, Walla Walla, and Yakima. For gas vouchers or reimbursement of fuel, drivers must provide copies of a valid license, signed vehicle registration, and valid vehicle insurance. Provides specialized door-to-door transportation for individuals whose disabilities limit their capacity to use the bus system. It is a pre-scheduled service with specific Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) eligibility requirements and a formal application.
Provides curb -to-curb transportation service for people with qualifying disabilities. Vehicles are lift equipped to accommodate individuals using wheelchairs or other mobility devices.
Certain weight and size limitations exist and an individual applying for service should call the Ben Franklin Transit office (509-735-0160, then press 3) to discuss the specific type of mobility devices they would like to use while traveling. Drivers may provide door-to-door service for those individuals who require assistance to/from the vehicle. An individual designated as a Personal Care Attendant may accompany the customer at no cost.

Dial-A-Ride ("DAR") service is provided in all rural areas north of Sequim and within Sequim on Saturdays. To arrange for this "demand-response" service, passenger should pre-schedule rides at least one day before and no more than seven days in advance of the desired trip. This service is available to anyone who lives in or who needs to travel to any point in the service area. The pick-up and drop-off point may be at the closest suitable intersection to your destination. Please be prepared for a pick-up by allowing for a ten minute window either before or after your scheduled time.
